Two years ago, computerized personal financial management was a two-horse race: Intuit’s Quicken vs. Microsoft Money. Both full-featured. Both relatively easy to use. But both were packaged software apps, clearly not the future of consumer computing.
Fast forward to 2008: We now have two dozen startups, several banks, and other financial stalwarts offering online personal finance if every size and shape (see Online Banking Report 142/143 and 131/132).
